April became SaNaR’s director on October 2018. He has extensive experience of working with different local and international organisations and he has experience in environmental and social policy research and civil society advocacy. April worked with Oxfam Myanmar for 2 years about the governance policy review and supported in Social Accountability through by dealing with different stakeholders. April has written and published many research in the area of customary land tenure, extractive industrial and energy sectors and as a board member of Save the Salween Network free flow rivers program in Myanmar, focusing on civil society engagement, civic education and awareness campaigns. April holds M.A in International Development Studies from Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok), Post-grad diploma in Social Work and Post-grad diploma in Development Studies from Yangon University and Bachelors degree in English from the University of Taunggyi.
